Report: Birding day trip to Sungai Janggut

SBBG birding day trip to Sungai Janggut, Selangor Wader watching at Pantai Jeram  Photo: Tang Tuck Hong It’s the Northern Winter, which means it’s wader watching time! The Selangor Branch Bird Group organised a day trip to Sg. Janggut near Jeram, Selangor, to see these wonderful winter visitors on  19th November 2023 (Sunday). Overlooking an expanse of mudflats near the Sg. Janggut estuary, the location is a magnet for various species of shorebirds as they migrate south. Report: Branch Talk by Dr Wong Siew Te

  Malaysian Nature Society Selangor Branch and Rimba Ilmu Universiti Malaya co-organised the branch talk featuring Dr Wong Siew Te, the CEO and founder of Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre based in Sandakan, Sabah. Held at Rimba Ilmu Auditorium on 4th November 2023, the talk was well-received by the general public including members and university students.
