Citizen Science Nature Camp (CAKE14)

20–21 September 2025 | Perah Camp, Site A, FRIM

Join us for a fun and meaningful 2-day, 1-night citizen science nature camp at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) — now proudly recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

Organised by MNS Selangor Branch in collaboration with Urban Forestry, FRIM, and MNS Selangor’s Bird, Flora, and Herpetofauna Special Interest Groups, this camp offers an enriching experience for families.

Open to children aged 7–17 years old and at least one parent, participants will explore the forest, learn about climate change, and take part in citizen science mini-surveys led by experienced members of the MNS Selangor Branch Special Interest Groups. Activities include guided nature walks, a planting session, watching birds, fruit trees, frogs and snakes, and a mini-forum. Tents (sleeps up to four persons), sleeping bags, 4 halal meals, guided activities, insurance are all included.

Fees:

RM210 (1 parent + 1 child)

RM275 (1 parent + 2 children, 2 parents + 1 child)

RM345 (1 parent + 3 children, 2 parents + 2 children)
